Oh honey. LA has this thing called “June Gloom,” where it’s gloomy all day, all over LA for the majority of June. “June Gloom” is just that for me this month. It matches my somber mood. I’ve been listening to MJ for the past week, and I intend to listen to him for the rest of the month.
You know what made me teary though? The other day, I met a parent and welcomed her into my office. She sat down and she just stared at the picture of Michael I have on my wall. She got teary and she told me “you know my sons went to Neverland when they were 8 and 11.” It totally caught me off guard. She went on to say, “I will never forget how happy my youngest was when he told me he met Michael Jackson, because the following weekend, I lost him forever in a drive by shooting.” She then told me how much her youngest adored MJ, how he dressed like him, how he danced like him, and how he sang like him. She said she was really impressed that he took the time out to hang out with his little fans, and that it meant a lot to him to shake his hand and ride rides with him.
I cried right there. She expressed how grateful she was to him for giving her son the best last weekend of his life, and she wasn’t even there to see it! But she knew his dream came true because he was so proud of it and so happy of that moment.
People are still touched by this man. And I don’t know how anybody can take that away from them. It’s ridiculous to think that someone that touched so many lives can “only be a celebrity.” Yeah, he was a celebrity, but to many people, he was so much more, and nobody can take that away.http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001391/board/thread/183378578?d=183902145&p=4#183902145

The person at the other end would pick up the phone and Michael would say: “Who’s this?”
They would reply something like: “It’s Lenore.”
He would go: “Oh, Lenore, listen, we’re going to have to get a divorce. I can’t carry on like this.”
She would go: “No, no, you have the wrong…”
Michael would interrupt and say: “No, Lenore, don’t even try that on me. I’ve just had it with you. We’ll divide the property evenly and everything but it’s got to be this way.”
Then he would hang up, leaving the person on the other end of the line wondering what the hell had just happened.
